Special Award - Tasty Planet: Back for Seconds by Dingo Games

In this odd game, you take on the role of a small blob of grey goo that can eat pretty much anything smaller than itself. As it eats, it grows larger. One of the things it eats is another invention by the same professor that created it - a time machine! With a hiccup, the blob disappears into the past, and numerous events in history are rewritten. Can it be stopped?

Both strange and addictive, Tasty Planet has aspects of several other Ernies and, while it didn't quite beat the competition for any of them, it deserves an honourable mention. Is it the joy of rampant destruction? Is it the thought of consuming the entire universe? Is it the cute eyes on the blob and the cheers of "yummy!" as it devours pretty much anything? I don't know. All I know is that this game is utterly charming with a delightful soundtrack.
