Mr O'Connor has a real knack for simple yet addictive strategy games, but Firefight is a bit of an anomaly for him since it is by no means a simple game. In fact the collected data for over 300 individual guns, tanks and infantry units in the game is so realistic that it even gets a tip of the hat from the diehard wargaming community that frequent the Combat Mission forums at Battlefront.com.

The attention to detail is such that real world military tactics can be successfully employed in-game to an extent very rarely seen in any computer wargame, much less an indie who's download size weighs in at a mere 3Mb. I continue to be officially gobsmacked.

If you can beat any of the generated campaigns and still have the ability for rational speech and interaction with loved ones, then you are indeed quite a dedicated zealot to the cause of indie games. If you can do it without the v 1.02 crash shield fix and with your sanity intact, then I salute you. You are without doubt, a gaming god.
