The Game Conference Game: A Developer's Interactive Primer

Hello friends at Bytten!

I'm Joel Gonzales from Team LowPolyCount, we've just released a free browser-based PC game called "The Game Conference Game." The Game Conference Game is a humorous roguelike with a classic ASCII art style similar to NetHack. You play a young game maker trying to make it big at the famous Game Conference. With real conventions like GDC and PAX right around the corner, we wanted to help aspiring developers begin their training in the fine arts of schmoozing, partying, and hiding from unwanted conversations.

Gameplay features short, focused sessions that take about 15 minutes to complete. You only have two days at the Game Conference, so you have to manage both time and energy carefully. Nab ideas from experienced Designers, then gab about them with flashy Recruiters to maximize your fame. Your fame at the end of two days determines whether you enter the industry as a QA Tester or if you can jump to the top of the industry.

You can play the Game Conference Game for free in any browser. It's both Mac and PC friendly. Here's the full link:

I've put together a small page containing screenshots:

We'd love for you to check it out. Thank you!
